This four hour training is an Awareness Level class, covered in four modules, and examines the purpose of the school response plan, the threat assessment process, and warning signs of aggressive student behavior. Discussions are conducted on critical actions for documenting and receiving a threat, types of bomb scenarios, and critical evacuation actions.

Definitions of terms and concepts associated with energetic materials as well as descriptions of common explosive materials and devices are presented. Lastly the class will look at school security measures and bomb incident response plan components.

Due to the sensitive nature of this subject matter, this course is designed to provide awareness level training for school administrators, school resource officers, firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical professionals and first responders who may respond to a school bombing incident. Appropriate agency affiliation will be verified prior to attendance.
